To celebrate International Volunteer Day on 5th Dec, we proudly hosted our signature programme Global Volunteer Quarter. This year we extend the programme to three months from October to December 2023, allowing for even greater opportunities for our teams to make a positive impact in their communities.
To celebrate International Volunteer Day, we have been organising the Global Volunteer initiatives since 2022. This heart-warming campaign brings our colleagues together to contribute to society at the end of the year, showcasing our collective efforts towards corporate social responsibility. In 2023, we have extended the programme from 2 months to 3 months.
Here are some highlights from the impactful initiatives around the globe.
Geneva, Switzerland
The Geneva team volunteered once again at a local supermarket, dedicating their time to collect and package food donations from customers. These efforts were aimed at supporting those in need within the community.
New Delhi, India
Our team in India gathered and donated necessities to two shelters: one for homeless individuals and another for abandoned girls. Our volunteers paid visits to the shelters and distributed lunch to the residents.
Madrid, Spain
Our Madrid office has made a significant contribution by collecting 120 kilograms of food donations for a non-profit organisation. This organisation provides vital support to approximately 150 families every month.
Singapore
Our Singapore team participated in a social outreach event at a dignity kitchen. They experienced an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at the kitchen where meals are prepared, learned basic Singapore sign language, helped pack bento meals, and distributed them to nearby residents in need.
St. Petersburg, Russia
At the end of the year, our team in St. Petersburg organised donation initiatives. They provided essential supplies to the elderly and delivered New Year’s gifts, including personal hygiene items and clothing to the elderly in the hospital.
Our colleagues continued the heart-warming tradition of delivering Christmas presents to children in a small village, a practice started by our team in 2022. The children expressed their Christmas wishes to Saint Nicholas, and our team acted as his assistants to fulfil their requests.
Zagreb, Croatia
Our colleagues in Zagreb donated hygiene items and food to a homeless centre in the city, bringing cheer as the festive season approached.
We're excited for the 2024 Global Volunteer Quarter and the opportunity to spread love and support to even more people!
