Romania - Covid-19 regulations:

Overview

Borders are open but a 14-day quarantine is mandatory for some nationalities. Airports are open but for some countries a quarantine is mandatory on arrival. Public transportation and tourist attractions are open. Parliament Palace is still closed.

Hotels are opening but with reduced capacity. At restaurants, only terraces are open.

National movement

Masks are mandatory in any inside space and in exterior public places. Gloves are optional.

For the moment groups are limited to a maximum of 6 people.

Cross-borders

OPEN. For entrances from the following countries, a 14-day quarantine is obligatory: South Africa, Saudi Arabia, Argentina, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bahrain, Bolivia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Brazil, Cabo Verde, Chile, Columbia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, El Salvador, Eswatini, Guatemala, Honduras, Turks and Caicos islands, Virgin islands, Iraq, Israel, Kazakhstan, Kyrgysztan, Kosovo, Kuwait, Luxemburg, Macedonia, Maldives, Mexico, Moldova, Montenegro, Oman, Palestine, Panama, Peru, Puerto Rico, Qatar, Dominican Republic, Russia, Serbia, Singapore, USA, Surinam. From any other state, entrance is without limitations.

Airports

Flights open (without quarantine) from: Austria, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Cyprus, Croatia, Switzerland, Germany, Greece, Iceland, Latvia, Lichtenstein, Lithuania, Malta, Norway, Slovakia, Slovenia, Hungary, European part of France, Italy, Finland, Estonia and Ireland. From any other state, a 14-day quarantine is imposed. At the airports there are temperature scanners. Masks are mandatory, gloves are optional.

Public Transport

OPEN - respecting prevention measures: passengers must wear a mask and maintain social distance.

Taxi

OPEN - respecting prevention measures: both clients and the driver must wear a mask, gloves are optional.

Guides / Assistants

Available upon request, still no special measures defined.

Coaches

First row must be empty. All coaches have hand disinfectant on board.

Rail / Cable Cars

Open respecting prevention measures: masks are mandatory, gloves are optional.

Shops

Malls (except food courts and playrooms) and fitness halls are open.

Restaurants

CLOSED. Terraces are open, respecting a 2m distance between tables.

All personnel must wear a mask and gloves.

Hotels

Hotels started opening and operating at the end of May 2020, some with reduced capacity. Some hotels will open gradually at a later stage. Social distancing required. Regular sanitation in place. Hotels are respecting H&S Measures declared by local Government. Measures vary for each hotel according to capacity & category, for an undefined period.

Attractions

Most attractions are open respecting H&S measures declared by local Government. Parliament Palace is still closed.

Events

Private events with 20 pax inside and 50 pax outside.
